Is your neck/back hurting you? or are you hurting your neck/back?

This is one of the question I answered for myself in taking Alexander Technique Lessons. The Alexander Technique allows you to become aware of the movements you're making that can cause your back or neck pain (or whatever you are currently suffering from). You can relearn how to use your body more efficiently so that you put less strain on it.

Do you tend to sit for long periods of time without taking breaks? When you work, at a computer (for example) do you get sucked in to your work, the screen and pretty much nothing else? Your head eventually nearly meeting the screen. Until at the end of a day your neck hurts, your lower back is giving out and your eyes can't really look long distance anymore, they get all blurry.


You can change this and feel a lot more comfortable in yourself by learning how you move, how you function and how that effects everything you do. The Alexander Technique is great skill for life whatever you do. Just take a class or a one to one and start your own journey of recovering your inner balance.
